Getting back into training:
I haven't been this banged up and in such bad shape in a long time. The goal for the next few weeks is to slowly get back to running, figure out what hurts and address it. I'd like to ease into shape in a way that not only gets me healthier, but also prepares me to continue to compete like a meathead and not hurt myself.
Target week: -20 miles-, 2 trips to the gym, feel progressively better.
Monday 2/25 -4 miles- easy at night. Finished with a mile barefoot on IF. Also fell behind Jilaine in the daily push-up tally. Foot feeling a bit better
Tuesday 2/26 -4 miles- in the morning with Owen and Dave. Foot felt OK, but my knees were really killing me. I think I have some tendonitis on the inside of my knees where my hamstrings attach. I had this problem the end of my sophomore year and a steady regime of hamstring exercises (which I should be doing anyway) got me back on the right track quickly.
Thursday 2/28 -4 miles- after work by myself. Finished with mile barefoot. Coninue feeling better.
Friday 2/29 -4 miles- in the morning with Owen. Lifted in the afternoon.
Sunday 3/2 -4 miles in the evening by myself. Felt pretty rough from Saturday night. Finished with a mile barefoot.
